Let’s dive into the exciting updates for Explore the Bible for Students! This isn’t just a refresh—it’s a bold step toward helping students engage with scripture in ways that are meaningful and transformative. If you’re looking for a resource that’s practical and designed to grow students’ confidence in studying God’s Word, keep reading!

Shifting to a Three-Year Study Plan

The biggest change? We’re moving from a nine-year study plan to a streamlined three-year format. This shorter timeline aligns better with the pace of student ministry, offering a balanced mix of Old and New Testament passages every year. Over the course of three years, students will study key sections from all 66 books of the Bible—not once, but twice. It’s all about giving middle and high schoolers a rich understanding of scripture while covering genres like law, history, prophecy, poetry, gospels, and letters annually.

Interactive Features for Deeper Engagement

The refreshed Explore the Bible for Students also emphasizes the Seven Arrows Bible Reading Strategy, guiding students through key questions to understand scripture’s context, meaning, and application. Leaders will find these arrows integrated into discussion prompts, making small group sessions more focused and insightful.

New features include a reflection section in the Daily Discipleship Guide—where students can pause and consider big questions about God, themselves, and the world. We’ve also added a third application question to daily readings, giving students more opportunities to connect scripture to their lives. These updates are all about creating practical and personal moments with the Bible.

"Explore the Bible Students is a resource that help students gain the confidence to study, know, and apply God's word."

Addressing Biblical Literacy

We’re tackling the decline in biblical literacy head-on. Explore the Bible for Students equips leaders with tools like context notes, exploration tips, and clear language to empower meaningful discussions. Students gain the skills to study scripture independently and confidently, breaking down any intimidation they might feel when approaching the Bible.

Design That Speaks Student

We know students want simplicity, so we’ve revamped the design to feel more approachable. The guides now feature clean layouts with plenty of white space for notes and reflections. Bright, busy backgrounds are gone—leaving room for students to truly interact with the text. Plus, we’re adding real-world touches like city photography and location details to make scripture feel personal and grounded, reflecting their world.

Looking Ahead

This fall, Explore the Bible for Students will usher in a fresh era of biblical learning. Designed to inspire and engage, this resource simplifies scripture study while delivering profound insights. It’s more than a study plan—it’s a way to help students build faith that lasts.
