Speaker Bios

Dr. Alicia Wong
Alicia Wong serves as the Women's Ministry Specialist at Lifeway. She has also served as a missionary with IMB and NAMB and has been teaching in seminaries, local churches, and on the mission field regarding topics related to Ministry to Women, Counseling, and Missions for over 25 years. She also serves as the Associate Professor of Women’s Ministry at Gateway Seminary in Ontario, CA. She holds an M.A. in Intercultural Studies and Christian Counseling, M.Div. and a Doctorate in Education. Her passion is to see women be firmly rooted in biblical truth, built up in Christ, and established in their faith in order that they may share the good news with others to the ends of the earth.

Dr. Casey Merrifield
Casey is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of ConneXtion Worldwide and the lead architect for doxaleaders.com. She spends her days coaching and training ministry and marketplace leaders to be the best of who God designed them to be so that the people and organizations they lead flourish. She’s just a small-town Texas girl that found her way to western Oklahoma where she disciples high school girls, and with her husband, Scott, leads a life group of young adult singles. She completed her PhD in Leadership Studies with a Ministry concentration in 2022 and is most passionate about helping believers live in and live out the story of God’s redemption in everyday places. She’s a faithful Texas Longhorn’s and Dallas Cowboys’ fan and spends a healthy (or not so healthy) dose of time watching HGTV. She is Aunt Casey to eight incredible nieces and nephews and is affectionately called the same by many more.

Marshelle Wilburn
Marshelle Jackson Wilburn, is a California native, wife, mother of five, inspirational speaker, writer, international leadership trainer, and urban church planting missionary. She partners in ministry with her husband, Port, Executive Director and Associational Missional Strategist of San Francisco Peninsula Baptist Association and Lead Pastor of Rock Harbor Christian Fellowship, a multi-ethnic, multiplying ministry, and ministry center. Her passion for excellence and empowering others has been shown in her roles as a business owner, academic adviser and teacher in primary education, management at one of San Francisco Bay’s largest homeless shelters, and advocacy and care for women in ministry. She is a church planter assessor, advocate and leadership trainer for North American Mission Board’s SEND Network. She has been a published writer for LifeWay Christian Resources since 2015 for their YOU Bible Study Curriculum. The loves of her heart are being a wife, mom of four daughters and an only son, spending time with family, studying, and teaching leadership and the Bible, oceans and beaches, coffee, and developing others for exponential impact.

Angie Elkins
Angie grew up in a Christian family in the Memphis, TN area. Early in life she developed a love for music and a love for her local church. After graduating from Union University, she attended Southwestern Seminary to pursue a Masters in Music. While at Southwestern, she met and married her husband Robert- they married in 1996, and have 3 children. Jack, Audrey and Foster. In the last 25 years, Angie has been leading worship all over the country, writing music for the local church , and in 2017 she created chatologie with Angie Elkins, a podcast that moves people closer to God and each other by starting conversations that matter. Angie is the Manager of the Lifeway Podcast Network, where she works with amazing shows like Marked and The Glass House with Ben and Lynley Mandrell. Angie’s favorite things are taking morning walks in her neighborhood, Walt Disney World and trips with her girlfriends. Angie and her husband Robert have been married for 26 years they live in Orlando, FL where her husband serves as the Worship Pastor of First Baptist Church of Orlando.
