Speaker Bios

Dr. Alicia Wong
Alicia Wong serves as the Women's Ministry Specialist at Lifeway. She has also served as a missionary with IMB and NAMB and has been teaching in seminaries, local churches, and on the mission field regarding topics related to Ministry to Women, Counseling, and Missions for over 25 years. She also serves as the Associate Professor of Women’s Ministry at Gateway Seminary in Ontario, CA. She holds an M.A. in Intercultural Studies and Christian Counseling, M.Div. and a Doctorate in Education. Her passion is to see women be firmly rooted in biblical truth, built up in Christ, and established in their faith in order that they may share the good news with others to the ends of the earth.

Heather Johnson
Heather Johnson is an educator and Bible teacher. As a curriculum writer, conference speaker, and national trainer with Lifeway Women, she treasures every chance to share God’s Word and encourage others in Christ. Heather teaches the Bible at her home church and is a PhD senior resident at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She serves as the President’s wife at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana. There, she and her husband, Dr. Mark Johnson, count it a joy to pour into the lives of young adults daily. They are grateful parents of four and enjoy serving the church and making disciples.

Kathy Howard
Kathy Howard is a treasure hunter. She hunts for the creamiest chocolate and richest coffee. She searches for cherished stories of faith that still impact hearts. Kathy also digs deep into God’s Word, mining His eternal truths for herself and to share with others. With more than 30 years of experience, Kathy has taught in dozens of states, internationally, and in a wide range of venues including multi-church conferences and large online events. She has a Masters of Christian Education and a certificate in Women’s Ministry from the Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary. Kathy is the author of 15 books and Bible studies including the “Deep Rooted” inductive devotional series. She also serves on the Lifeway Women’s Ministry Training Team. Kathy and her husband live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area near family. They have three married children and seven grandchildren. Kathy provides free discipleship resources and blogs regularly at www.KathyHoward.org.

Amanda Sweat
Amanda serves as the Girls Ministry Director at First Baptist in Sevierville, TN. In her role, she serves alongside the Student Minister to teach, equip, and encourage the next generation. Amanda’s passion is to see young people wholeheartedly pursue Jesus and live in a way that leaves a lasting impact on the world. She believes this generation of teens has the potential to spark revival in our country as they boldly live out their faith.
